This place is a MUST VISIT in the South Londonderry area. We go camping at the campground up the street a few times a year, and every time we do we stop here for AT LEAST one meal.Fran cooks it all; chinese food, pizza, breakfast food, and diner food, and it is all delicious. My friends and I have sampled pretty much everything on the menu and none of us have ever had anything bad. Fran cooks everything from scratch and takes great pride in preparing amazing food.Absolutely check this place out if you are in the area.
Love it!
We had a large Bacon and Pepperoni pizza, it was very good. Service was very friendly.
Solid service & really awesome pancakes and bacon - perfect end to a great weekend in stratton.
Brilliant Drunken Noodles...I was returning to Upstate NY (Google "Upstate NY Simpsons"!) on a sweltering 90s day, and trying to navigate around quagmire of summer VT road repair. I was a mile or two west out of Jamaica, VT and really needed to stop and get out of the heat. And found this place. They have pizza, breakfast sandwiches, and a noodle and fried rice menu that seemed mostly Thai. I had the drunken noodles with tofu. Wow. Just like being there. Big flavor. Not oily. They have to have been best noodles between there and Boston or NY. And as good as those cities. Or Bangkok for that matter.
Great meal!
Thai food and pizza? Why not? We had Pad Thai and pork dumplings along with a couple of pizzas and we all thought both cuisines were really good. I'd go again when back in town.
Yum! And very friendly staff
The place is low key and very welcoming. We had breakfast and I would recommend the pancakes. The service was awesome. 🤗
This place was great! Had tasty food for everyone, including vegetarian and gluten free.
Great price for the region, good vegetarian options. Not the most amazing food but pretty darn good. Highly recommend!
Fran has the best all around food in Jamaica. She is very accommodating.
Columbus day weekend, Sunday morning at 10 am. Was full house. Smaller, awkward arranged, with larger booths. Menu on the wall was a bit overwhelming and not easy to take it all in. No acknowledgement at arrival and it appeared wait would be a while, especially since there was no greeting, so we left...
Food is ALWAYS great at this place!
Fran is awesome, super friendly, great service and the best breakfast in Vermont
Surprisingly good. I took a gamble and tried the general tsos'. Wouldn't have even thought they had Chinese food from the outside. Interesting combo of burger shop and Asian restaurant. The portions weren't huge but decent, and the price was reasonable. Would come back again.
We enjoyed a nice breakfast. Pancakes were perfect! Service was very good. Small, but reasonable space of 4 tables that seat 4-6 people. Would return!
If you are on your way to Stratton you should stop at Frans for breakfast. The place is cozy, clean, the food is great and the service too.
Excellent food all day long until 8pm, Great breakfast all day and great omelettes. Caring service and flexible with menu with Italian, Asian, and sometimes tacos available. Has more opening hours than most other area establishments which is also a plus. It is worth the short but scenic trip from downtown Londonderry across RT 100 to nearby scenic Jamaica VT where you will find Fran's Kitchen & Diner
Upon entering, we were greeted with smiles, I assume she by the owner. We set out this day to find a place to eat breakfast despite it being afternoon. Not only did we get a yummy breakfast but our son had the best General Tso's chicken ever! And he's a bit of a connoisseur. Pricing was quite reasonable. Everything was made fresh and arrived to the table perfectly hot. This was our first visit but I'm happy to report it won't be our last.
Best pizza south of Burlington . Fran also has great Asian food. A hidden gem.
Great food, friendly staff
Good food at good prices.
Great tasting food!! Run by few people but wow not bad. You will be waiting for a little while for your food though...there restaurant is popular.
small local diner type place, not much to look at, pretty plain inside, but the food was very good and that is what diners are for, service was pleasant and seems to be popular with the local!!!
My friends and I stumbled into Fran's after a weekend camping trip. Fran was very kind and accommodating to our large group and we all had a wonderful experience trying out different items on the menu. Everything was super tasty and the portions were generous. Thanks Fran!!
The breakfast was good here but not overly special. For lunch we had Asian food that was ok. The dumplings were really good. The asian dishes I was disappointed in. We had a curry chicken dish that was pretty much just that and noodles, a pad thai noodle dish that was mostly noodles that needed some better mixing and a vegetable dish that was ok. I had hoped for better given the signage bit next time I will try the pizza or buger.
Great food. Very taste. No atmosphere. Hidden jem.pricing very fair no frills just great local food.
Great Lumpia!
Great staff, cheap good eats quick
Food
So good fresh. Dumplings fantastic yummmmmmmy
Best veggie lo mein i ever had! But for the amount of food i got that night i feel like it was a bit expensive.
Friendly service. They had no juices for breakfast. Overpriced not worth $25 for 1 pc of French toast, one breakfast sandwich, 1 meal and the drinks - Paid $9 for 2 pancakes, 3 strips of bacon and 2 eggs... food was decent. Breakfast sandwich on bread was barely toasted but came with 2 eggs.
Fran's is the best
Excellent breakfast food that tastes homemade. Not greasy or heavy, just good wholesome fare. Check out the breakfast sandwiches and omelettes.
Very friendly staff, fast service and food was delicious. Best blueberry pancakes!!
Fran’s house-made corned beef hash is worth traveling for. Good food, and friendly owner(s).
I love about everything there please go there and by everything on the menu I go there every night for dinner
My fav for breakfast.. .they dont overcook omelettes.
Stopped in for breakfast while in the area. The breakfast options are simple, but well prepared, large, and delicious. I wish I could have tried other meals at Fran's because the menu is quite eclectic. It ranges from Asian cuisine to pizza. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.
Never been here but tried to. They don't actually open until 8am on Sundays. Would be nice if they posted the correct hours. We went to a different place instead.
I'm here average once a month and the pancakes are the best you can get in the area
Amazing home cooked food
Solid American breakfast menu, diverse lunch/dinner menu, and the only authentic Thai restaurant for miles.
Good food, friendly service, nice surprise to find a good spot to eat outside of ski season.
The best! Fran can do anything!
Delicious food
The ladies at Fran's Kitchen and Diner are friendly and welcoming. They were super hospitable and willing to go above and beyond to accommodate our gluten allergy. We ordered gf french toast with cinnamon and powdered sugar. It's been awhile since I've been able to eat french toast at a cafe and it did not disappoint. Don't hesitate to stop here for a quick breakfast.
Pizza is pretty good with a decent price, chicken and broccoli was very good. Will definitely explore more of the menu
